ISAIAH'S NEW VISION OF GOD
In the sixth chapter of the book of Isaiah the prophet sees things in a completely new light. There are four things Isaiah sees that Americans must see in order to get right with God. The very first thing Isaiah came to a realization of is things were going to be different. The king had died. He HAD A FRESH LOOK AT THE TIMES (Isaiah 6:1).
Things are not like they use to be. It is time to turn all over to the One who can make a difference. That is God in the person of His Son Jesus.
The second thing that happened to Isaiah is HE GOT A FRESH LOOK AT GOD (Isaiah 6:2-4). He now saw God on high differently than He ever had. He saw Him declared as Holy, Holy, Holy. The thrice HOLY God deserves more than mortal man can give Him. In the presence of God Isaiah became humble and needy and so are you and I. Take a new look at God. He is visible in the person of His Son Jesus Christ.
The third thing that happened to Isaiah was HE GOT A FRESH LOOK AT HIMSELF (Isaiah 6:5-7). In the presence of God you know you are not without sin. Isaiah cried, "I am undone, I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips." You and I are "Unclean" There is forgiveness and cleansing for all who will come to God through His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The fourth thing we see that Isaiah saw was HE GOT A FRESH LOOK AT THE CALL. When we are in the faith of Jesus Christ we have been called to a new life, a new walk, a new witness, and a great new work (Isaiah 6:8-12).
Finally we see that when all thing were made right with God HE GOT A FRESH LOOK AT THE PROMISES (Isaiah 6:13). The promises of God took on a whole new meaning. There was excitement, and willingness to be a part of God's plan and a willingness, a hunger to draw nearer to God and His holiness and righteousness.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
